WE all make mistakes...

Boy, I really did it this time. This is what I get for being a geek, trying to expand my horizons.
I tried to hypergrid to Farmville in Facebook. I actually succeeded after several harrowing attempts, but only lasted a few seconds in that world before it collapsed around me and crashed my computer. After a reboot and logging into osgrid, I was mortified to see me Farmville avatar had stuck with me! Several restarts and rebakes later, I finally got my old self back.

A newspaper editor I am not

I have come to the conclusion in the last few days that I am just not cut out to be a newspaper editor and have decided to pull out from the team of OSGazet. I have simply lost interest and don't feel I have the skills necessary to make a worthwhile contribution on an ongoing basis. I will be the first to admit I don't handle responsibility very well, and I also tend to take on more than I can chew at times.

I have important things to focus on in RL, such as keeping the bills paid--that has been getting tougher and tougher for me in the last few months.

The virtual world for me has now become solely a way to fulfill my social as well as some of my romantic needs in life, very important things for me, and I have no space in my soul for anything beyond that in that world.

I was very honored to be asked to help out with the endeavor, and I thank Bolle Zidje and Oddball OToole for the opportunity. My heartfelt thank you to Eryn Galen for her guidance, organizing skills and patience, and also to Jeeper Shim and Monerda Skute for the help and camaraderie over the past few weeks. I did have a lot of fun with the project (most of the time (-:-).

I still hope to be able to contribute in some way to the newspaper, and hope it can continue to grow and become a valuable asset to the OSGrid community.

My Friend Bryn/Bren

Bryn Eagan in Osgrid, or Brendalyn Smithson in SL, is a very talented house builder and good friend. You can see her homes in various places in both virtual worlds, 6 of them at Seaprior Plaza on Osgrid. Here is Brendalyn and I hanging out together at a park in SL watching birds, checking out nature, and thinking of who-knows-what....

Bar Dancin' at NTH

Microprims

Adelle Fitzgerald has posted in the osgrid.org forums a method of modifying an xml file inside the Hippo Viewer's application directory to enable the addition of another zero in the building tools resolution, and here's what I made using this cool method--a skeleton key pendant.
The key itself is about 10 cm (4 in.) long, about the width of an average adult palm. I plan on continuing with a prim necklace to attach it to, but for now I'm using a tattooed necklace "chain" in the undershirt layer.

My Tube Tunnel

This is a sculpty made with Wings 3D from a toroid shape stretched and bent. Actually what you see here are two of them joined together, and sized to fill up a whole region. The ends are about 200 meters apart on this set, which is on my part-time sim Gruin Flats installed on my PC. It is full mod/ copy/transfer so catch me inworld if you want one, if Gruin Flats isn't up.

I Am Not Here

My Incognito mask. You can join my group "I Am Not Here" in OSGrid and become incognito also. Contact me inworld for your non-gratis Genuine Groucho Mask, I guarantee no one will recognize you if they identify you by your nose or mouth only.

Moonrise on a previous region

From my picture archives, this was a region I had on OSGrid back in the summer of '09 I called Ocooch Hills, named after a tribe of Sauk/Sac Indians who settled in the area of Wisconsin where my RL home is. The terrain here is remenicsent of the true geography in the Upper Mississippi Valley where the Sauk were established in the early 1800's.
